MOVED;;Dogsong has been moved to a new server, as I have warned would probably happen! For the new link, click HERE. Make sure to grab all your bios when you go to the new site, as well as anything else that you want/need. :]

Love, staffies
AUGUST 4;; Hey guys, it's Tsavo... aka Kourier Times. So I dunno if you have all been reading my updates for the past few days or so, but as I was saying, Alex may be hanging the site over to me as she cannot seem to get on at all. None of her computers nor her mother's computers [ which are at a completely different location ] will allow her on. However, if she can't give me the full admin powers to run the site, it may have to move to a different location. I hope that if it does move, Alex can get on and you will all rejoin. =/

JULY 25;; hullo, Alex here. :D What more can I say? Dogsong is offically open to the public!! -does dance- I really hope it lasts longer than the first original Dogsong, but I have a feeling it will. I just can't believe I ended up reopening it! Heh heh. Glad I did, though. Glad it's open, too. And it only took 3 days, with a lot of help from a lot of people, who I thank personally - Guin, for making all the headers, the ad, and... stuff. :3 And Tsavo for finding all the codes, so yey her. Er, uh, and Moon and Chaz for being there. Finally, thanks to Trial for making me reopen Dogsong. -dances more-
UP-AND-COMING CRAP;;

7/25 THE GRAND SUPER-ULTRA-MEGA-GRANDE-SUPERB OPENING OF... DOGSONG! :D

______ OF THE MOMENT;;

TSAVO!
Okay, so, she totally deserves it. Really. Tsavo's helped so much with all the coding... and she finds everything, too, how does she do that? x3 I know the site isn't open yet, but man, this still counts. :] Three cheers for Tsavo!

Forks, Washington has always been a place where things have been simple. Recently with the influx of vampires, people have failed to notice those that have gone missing. The werewolves can't hurt the Cullen clan, they've not broken their contract, they've not hurt a soul. But it's open season on vampires. With everyone in a whirl-wind of vampiric chaos and death tolls in Forks rising, the Volturi still haven't shown their faces to stop the madness.
¤ ¤ ¤
Following a trio in Italy, the Volturi are winded and tired. Their bodies go forever, but their minds, caused by blackness in their tracking and the inability to see the ones being tracked they're growing weary, ready to return home. That is when a sense comes. the smell of a creature closer. He's bleeding, wounded. He's what they're hunting. The fourth to the group, making it a trio that's on the loose, rather than four. His words lead them all to Forks, where the Volturi come armed, ready to kill.
¤ ¤ ¤
They carry no scent. They are close. Two males, a single female, each varying in size, each meek and unwilling to become part of a group. What are they? What could be dangerous enough to distract the Volturi when they were clearly challenged by such scary numbers that have climbed in Forks?
¤ ¤ ¤
This RPG is set during the time of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novel. But it's in your hands now if you, the player, will simply play out her series plot or deviate from it. Only you can tell ... or can you?

--..Meyhem News Paper..--
+-May 30, 2015-+
Report is in that people from the ages 13 through 27 have gone missing throughout the town. About 36 people are now missing. A similar case appeared about 34 years ago where 28 people went missing within 2 weeks and then they were all found in their homes or thrown into alleyways, dead from overdosing on drugs, alcohol, suicide, and arguments with another, killing each other. So, the case that is now called Missing Lovelies has been abandoned. Now, they say it's happening all over again except it's only been a week and 28 have gone missing. Investigators are searching. We have actually found 2 dead, both because of a drug overdose. Missing Lovelies has been taken back out of it's box and researched again. The mayor has suggested a possible secret party that many are going to that could possibly be killing them since all 4 ways of the people dieing are very similar. More will be released soon.
+

Yes, a party is correct but it's not in Meyhem. The Vampire Hunters know exactly what's going on. Another Vampire Party in the Vampire Castle. Vampires come to Meyhem and then take the humans, lead them into the castle, and trick them into thinking it's a party. Then, they sink their teeth into them, and put them back where they found them saying it was some other cause of death. Or, they just dump them on the island and let the investigators continuing investigating. Now, the party is bigger than ever before and still continuing. Why? It's because the vampires are sick of starving.

You play sabretooth cats in a varied landscape. You can play a clan cat, a cadre cat or a loner/drifter. A simple, open plot has been created to kick start the game but players may create their own plots too. It has a few similarities to Warriors RPGs, but is an original game and stands on its own without using Warriors terms.

Plot: Dar-Calugthoth, leader of the Fearhorde, has faced down a kidnapping and a conspiracy, but the worst may be yet to come. As he wrestles with inner demons over what is the right thing to do, members of his own Fearhorde are turning against him. It is whispered and growled that the Dar has gone weak and must be ousted. Who will rule in the end?

Meanwhile, in Blueice Clan, Ninku the fighter sabrecat prepares to single-handedly slaughter an invading cadre of cats into his sister's cadre's territory. It just might be a bloody scene.

And in Rillan territory, Dar-Wawkah prepares for new arrivals at his cadre. But along the wind comes the scent of an invader who has returned to claim what's his, though an ill-made bargain.

This RPG opened up on March 11, 2008. So far we have over 3000 posts and 80 members.

Knifetooth welcomes all players, from beginner to advanced.

NEW! As of this month, players can now also play ocelots, bobcats, jaguars, pumas, or Canadian lynxes as well as the four species of sabretooth cat already allowed!

The greyhound's expression grew skeptical as the other dog rose to her paws and padded toward her. What kind of dog was this? Teal eyes, purple..or was it pink?..fur, slinking across the floor toward her with a smirk on her face. Maybe sunners were even wierder than she'd heard. Either that or this was just a front for attack. Of course, this dog was smaller than she was, and didn't look nearly as mean.
Although, she might be judging the dog by her fur, which was not always a safe thing to do. Since this dog had pink (red?) fur, the greyhound figured she would take her chances. Not exactly the colors of a figher.
Whatever the colors were.
"Hallo, deary,"
What the?
She coughed slightly, choking back a derisive snort, yellow eyes openly scornful. That music in her tone..was she trying to be seductive? What a b....
The greyhound turned her head slowly, watching the other dog circle. Fur brushed against her flank and the light flashed suddenly as the other dog entered a sunbeam. It seared the greyhound's eyes..she closed them for a moment, then squinted before opening her eyes wide again. Evidently she wasn't ready to go outside yet.
Instinct screamed to get away from this bizarre female, but the greyhound stayed put, used to showing no fear or discomfort. She allowed her arrogance to blaze forth, though, cold as ice and bright as the damned sun outside. A faint grin spread across her face as she blew through her fangs, knowing the rotting smell that came from her maw. Rarely would another dog stay within several yards of her when they'd smelled that. It was, in fact, her best weapon during the daytime.
No response from the other dog. Maybe she was dense, or the smell was taking a while to really get started. Well, it was a big room.
"I'm just looking for some fun; and yourself, babe? Whatcha doing here?"
The words were whispered into her ear - the greyhound flicked it back, annoyed by the tickle it made, and stepped to one side. Enough of that. She turned, staring down the other female cooly. Her eyes were caught by a flash of metal on the dog's neck..a collar?
A collar? What kind of dog still wore a collar? Was she fraternizing with humans or just too dense to remove it? The greyhound glanced at the metal tag quickly, but as she couldn't read there was no point..and anyway, the other dog flipped it up to show only a picture of a star. Obviously that was sensitive material of some kind. If she could read..
But she couldn't, and a shame it was.
The other dog whined as she backed away, and the greyhound nearly laughed. What a loser. There was no way she would fall for this stuff..did the other dog really think she was that stupid?
Yellowed teeth flashed in her maw as the mooner spoke, and even she could smell the stench that came forth.
"Me? Killing dogs - destroying souls. Death, decay, hunger in the night. Y'know?"
It was spoken in a easy tone of voice, as if she was having a pleasant chat with a friend and not handing out veiled threats like meat after a hunt. She waited for her tone and words to sink in, then continued in a slightly amused manner, flicking her ears back and smirking.
"You're good..stupid males and pups would have trouble seeing through your schemes. You can put a stick in it, though. I'm not in the mood for manipulative games right now."
Having stated this, the greyhound considered what to do next. She had various options, being bigger and faster..kill the other dog, leave her here in her fantasies, keep talking in the hopes that the other female would awaken from these same imaginings and turn out to be slightly interesting.
Killing..well, it would take care of the problem, but she wasn't really in the mood for that. The greyhound had a close shave last night already, and she liked her save her destroying of souls for dark. Leaving her here would be more palatable, but frankly not very interesting. It had been a while since the greyhound had a chat.
Sounded like the last one, then.
Hmm, well, maybe it would be more fun now that the greyhound had hinted strongly that she was competent. It was, of course, a little sad that she had to resort to chatting with sunners, but none of the mooners wanted to talk to her. Obvious reasons. Undead creatures didn't make for wonderful packmates.

Hm.
"So," she said, her voice back to the relaxed conversational tone from before. "I assume you have a name? Most dogs do."
"I'm called Akea," she lied in helpful tone of voice, her yellow eyes radiating guarded friendliness. In reality, she didn't care much, but Talyu - that being her real name - figured she could afford to be polite. That was, after all, what most dogs did..offered a name. Talyu didn't bother with propriety as a rule, but she could always make exceptions.
Or, as it were, half-exceptions. Akea, of course, was a totally different dog..a small, fuzzy, white mooner. The Beast had run into her more than once, since Akea seemed to have some kind of revenge thing goin' on - a dead relative, maybe. What a small dog thought she could do against the undead Talyu didn't know, but there it was. The point was to have a name that sounded real, since it was actually someone's name. Not hers, but someone's.
Talyu glanced sideways at a crack in the boarded wall, waiting for the purple sunner to reply. It looked like the sun was just up. She ought to be able to stand going out pretty soon, once the sun had risen high enough for trees to shade her. The greyhound could use a snack, too, having not hunted anything but her own kind last night. Flying usually made her hungry.
Her gaze turned back to the other dog, head cocked to one side as she waited for a response.

Plot
War is a way of life.
The Civil War was one of the greatest events in American History. The war placed Americans against Americans. The North vs. the South. All over one main issue, slavery. African Americans were enslaved ever since the New World had been founded, but things had to change. This is what caused the outbreak.

Our story takes place in the small Pennsylvania town known as Gettysburg. As we all know now, Gettysburg played a crucial role in the victory of the Union over the Confederates. What was happening in Gettysburg during the war? Gettysburg was not only inhabited by humans, but also by the canine species. Whether in the home, or out on there own as a stray dogs were found all around Gettysburg. Wild vs. Domestic however, wasn't a big happy family. Strays hate those human lovers! The ones who just lay around all day and get fed for it. The ones who get pats on the head and played with as if they were human. On the contrary, domestic dogs don't like stays much either. It's almost as if a war is erupting between the two groups.

War Unwritten will tell the tail of the silent war between domestic and feral canines that went totally unnoticed. A war that took place in the very same area as that of the great battle of Gettysburg. Will they ever learn to get along? Will all life go back to the way it was? What will happen along the way?

Why join?
-Unique, there is no other one like it.
-Friendly staff, what more do I have to say?

As I continued to lie and dream in my daze of when things were 'good', I allowed myself to almost snore. Haha, what a horrible thing that would have been. It was a good thing that I decided to role over a bit then, eh? As I managed to sort of slide through the glass a little, a soft sigh escaped my muzzle. Things were.... peaceful, which was pretty uncommon, living in Dogsong and everything. My ears twitched for a moment as the soft pitter-patter of feet seemed to move over the floor. It didn't matter though, as I really was too lazy to truly lift my head and see if someone was there. If there was, then I doubted that they would pounce upon me, as the canine would more than likely be a Mooner or a Male; and if it wasn't, well I didn't need to worry, right? Right.

However, as more time passed, a smell rose in the depths of my nostrils, this new smell definitely canine. I gave a silent sniff to get the information that I needed before acting, and if I could have rolled my eyes with my lids shut, I would have. It was nothing more than a female, obviously a Mooner. It was then that I almost laughed. A Mooner. Pft. No worries there. Besides, if she tried to attack me, I could trick her into easily thinking that I was not someone to be messed with, it was that simple. I allowed my ears to softly follow her breathing and near-silent foot steps, paying close attention to her movements. By the sounds of it, she knew that I was there, yet she didn't want any trouble, and was perhaps trying to make her way to the entrance without being noticed. Hmmm... well really, she had nothing to worry about, as it was daytime, which meant that I was in my funner stage.

I smiled to myself, and then opened my eye to see a greyhound, more than likely taller than me, but I didn't really care about that. She was definitely a Mooner, her fur thin and her body slender, even more slim than my own. I closed my eyes, sure that she hadn't seen them open and listened for her to say something or try to make a break for the door. If she took the second option and tried to make a dash past me as I 'slept'; then I would just have to lunge forward and block her path. Lucky for us both though, she took the first option, probably realizing that I was alert and would easily spot her. Besides, if I was bad, she would want to try and get on my good side, right? Right. I snickered softly at her words, my eyes opening to scan her once more.

The bright teal that coloured my eyes was shinning brightly as I gave a sort of sly smile to the Greyhound. My ears rested gently upon my skull and my tail gave a single wag behind me as I rose to all four of my paws and shook the glass from my slightly feathered coat, careful not to step in any of the shards. 'Yo,' Her first words here lame, making me want to laugh in her face; but I resisted and continued to listen to her speak. 'What’cha doin’ in here?' They didn't get any more interesting and I almost snorted. Pft. Lame-o. Anyways, I managed to bring myself into the best position to show off my feminine features as I blinked softly toward her. "Hallo, deary," My voice sang out with a rhythm and I smiled softly. Slowly moving my head toward her and then running my eyes over her as so I could scan her body.

I swung my hindquarters around gently and moved closer to her, hoping to get close enough so that my longer, soft fur was brush against her short coat. The bright purpley colour of my coat was dazzling and I hoped that it would help to show that I was definitely a female, by complimenting my frame and such. Okay, so now you are probably wondering why I am making such a point that I am a female and that I am trying to show myself off, am I correct? Thought so. Well, in case you're first guess is that I'm not straight, that is wrong. To answer your next question, I am not a Bisexual neither. In fact, I am straight, I like guys; oh how I like the guys. However, it is too much fun to mess with the females to try and resist it.

I inched closer, sure to be past a comfortable point now as, like I mentioned before, I did my best to brush against her body, trying hard to reach her height as I did so. My paws were gracefully touching the ground and my eyes bright and happy. Tongue lolled from the side of my mouth and I moved my muzzle toward one of her ears. "I'm just looking for some fun; and yourself, babe? Whatcha doing here?" My voice was low and took on the seducing tone that I would use to manipulate a male. Haha, what fun this would be. However, I did hope that she wouldn't try to kill me, as she probably was stronger than I; and she was a Greyhound, which naturally meant she would also be faster than me.

My tail wagged a soft tempo behind me, playful and happy with each step. My ears were careful to listen for the voice to once again erupt from the opposing female's muzzle. My collar was spun around, and the engravement could be easily read, having come from the lab as it gave my gender, number, and breed out. At least my name was not written upon that shiny piece of metal. Lifting a soft paw, I flipped over the tag to once again show the star instead of the engravement. My collar moved around my neck a bit as my shoulder blades moved with my steps, as they naturally should. With a soft whine toward the female, I would end my turn and take a step back to listen for her voice and hope to not be attacked.
